Have you ever seen that tv special about the lotto winners. Usualy a group of 10 or so winners who have won the lotto after playing it for years. Finally they win and all their dreams come true, well almost. For most of the lotto winners the instant wealth becomes a nightmare and eventually they end up losing everything. Some times they end up where they started, other times, they are worse off.
Why does this happen? It is in fact a law, you do not get something for nothing, and you must be prepared for what you receive and must have a plan for receiving it. If you want to be a multi-millionaire, do you know what to do with the money. How will you make it grow? What bank or banks will you put it in? What type of accounts will you use? This may seem like a trivial matter, after all you can always figure out details when you get the money, right? By establishing what will happen to the riches once they are gained, you are telling the universe that you are ready. You are also sending a strong message to your subconscious mind that the act of obtaining the riches has in a very real way already happened.
There is also another point to think about. Are you grateful for what you already have? Do you handle what you have with care? The idea is called stewardship and it goes like this, he who has little and manages it well will get more. He who has little and manages it poorly will end up with less! Are you a good steward of what you have? If not do not despair. There are great teachers out there who can teach you. The very best at the money game is Dave Ramsey, his no nonsense way of dealing with debt and wealth building will, if you apply the knowledge, get you out of debt and into wealth. Dave Ramsey is featured in this months Success Magazine.
Are you a type of person who can handle great wealth? If not then listening to Jim Rohn or reading some of his wonderful books will help you become a better person. Jim seems fond of saying that it is not the million that makes the person but the journey taken. Not an exact quote and I am sure I did not do it justice. Jim Rohn passed away this last December and it is a great loss for the Personal Development community. You can view videos of his memorial service and tribute page at SUCCESS.COM. No we are not affiliated, Success is just a great resource for those who want to achieve the best in their lives.
So, are you prepared to succeed? If you start working on who you are and the kind of person you want to be, then success is sure to flow your way.
Safe Journeys,
Scott
